About me

Hey there! My name is Stefani Taskas, a game developer with the least cohesive list of favorite games. The wide spectrum of games I’ve played has helped me while creating games, drawing inspiration from the least likely of sources. If I’m not playing a game or TTRPG, you can probably find me cuddling one of my pets, drawing, or making a cosplay.

I am currently the Digital Learning Experience Developer in the Languages, Cultures, and Applied Linguistics department at Carnegie Mellon University. I have a deep passion for transformational games and work in both the LCAL Studio and Humanities Commons and The Kenner Room developing experiences for language learning and cultural exploration. I also help run the SONA Immersive Storytelling Festival.

I’ve been working in the games industry full-time since 2021; first as an automation software engineer at EA, and then as a game developer at Simcoach Games. I’ve also interned at both Ford and EA prior to finishing my education.

Speaking of education, I received a Master of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2021. I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Michigan State University with a minor in Game Design and Development in May 2019. During my time at Michigan State University, I worked for Dr. Rabindra Ratan at the SPARTIE Lab, and Dr. Taiwoo Park at the iVerse Lab.
